Beaded Legacy’s Logo

Logo design: This logo is new to BeadedLegacy as of 2023 and was created to ensure that the logo aligned with my goals of being intentional with not only the products but also the branding of BeadedLegacy.

There are 3 distinct features of this logo that I incorporated to represent myself and my values as an Indigenous artist: a triangle to represent 3 sisters, the elements to represent connection to the land, and wrapping everything up in the shape of a beautiful fringe-style earring.

The triangle at the top of this design represents my relationship with my sisters, as being one of three sisters has been the most important part of my development as a person and has been deeply influential in my journey as an artist. My sisters are what ground me the most in this world, they know all the messiest parts of me and have been beside me in one way or another through every step of my journey, from childhood to now.

Because the inspiration for my creations often comes from nature, and to represent an ever growing connection to the land, the 4 elements (earth, air, fire, water) are incorporated into the logo design in the following ways:

Droplet – water

Horizontal Green Line – earth

Vertical Lines – fire (when flipped upside down, looks like a flame)

Space between the vertical lines – allows air to flow through

Pulling this design together in the shape of a beaded fringe-style earring was important to me because creating beaded earrings has been the catalyst for so much love and connection in my life. Not only has beading helped to nurture existing connections to family, community, and culture, but it has also been a way for me to create new connections (with other artists/beaders and even clients), as well as find a creative outlet and art-form I am passionate about.
